We had a really great St George’s Day parade on the 27th April with a service run by an Explorer Unit and a parade along Ewell Road in Tolworth. We even managed to stay dry throughout. The best part of the event for Chessington however was in us winning the Bridger Family Trophy for the smartest Group on parade! Over 1200 children and adults took part from over 18 Groups in the District. All the Leaders are very proud of the excellent behaviour and smart appearance of all of our Cubs, Beavers and Scouts. Thank you!
We had a great time at the local driving range this week. A big thanks to Neil from Chessington Golf Centre for being so accommodating. The Cubs had a great time!!
The Scout Association have confirmed this week that a new alternative Scout Promise will be introduced from the start of next year for people with no affirmed faith and humanists. The core Scout Promise remains unchanged and exploring faith, beliefs and attitudes remain a core element of the programme.
You can read more about the changes here.
